Rose Esposito

YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will be held Saturday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for Rose Marie Esposito, 96, who passed away Tuesday Jan. 17, at the Inn at Christine Valley.
Rose was born April 10, 1915, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late James and Grace Tataro Parella.
Rose was a member of the Ohio Restaurant Association from 1964 to 1970 while working at the Pizza Oven on Southern Boulevard. She was also an active member of the Arco Club and Senior Citizens Club at St. Charles Church.
Her husband, John A. Esposito, whom she married May 1, 1937, passed away in 1999.
Rose leaves two sons and a daughter, James L. Paula Esposito of Austintown, John "Jack" R. Esposito of Phoenix, and Karin Joseph Campana of Denver; a brother, Rudy Parella of Boardman; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Rose was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Conti DiPiero and three brothers William, John and Robert Parella.
The family would like to thank the staff at Christine Valley for their love and kindness shown to Rose during her stay.
Family and friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
