AUSTINTOWN - Prayer services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, for Rose P. Narducci, 89, who passed away Monday evening at Humility House.
Rose was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Puritan, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Fabrizio) Panzera.
After high school graduation, Rose went to Washington, D.C. and worked for the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover while her high school sweetheart, and future husband was in the Army. Rose was a sales clerk for J.C Penney for 28 years, retiring in 1988. She was a founding member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was a member of their Altar and Rosary Society and their Senior Citizens.
Rose was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary Msgr. Mears Council No. 3930, and the J.C Penney Retirees. She enjoyed sewing and shopping at J.C Penney. Her greatest love was taking care of her wonderful grandchildren.
Her husband, Matthew B. Narducci, whom she married Sept. 24, 1946, passed away Jan. 19, 2003.
Rose leaves her daughter, Carol (Richard) Patterson of Austintown; her son, Michael (Edie) Narducci, with whom she made her home in Canfield; three grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Narducci, Jenna (Rob) Tieche, and Abby (Derek) Winkle; three great-grandchildren, Robbie, Anna, Mia Tieche; four sisters, Josephine Arruda of Hermitage, Pa., Ellen Gedeon of Twinsburg., Eva Savage of Masontown, Pa., and Irene Smith of Buffalo, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rose was also preceded in death by a sister, Lena.
Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
Rose's family would like to thank all the staff at Humility House for all of their loving care.
