POLAND - Prayers will begin Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Rosella M. Fiumara, 82, who died early Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Rosella was born Nov. 14, 1931, in Youngstown, to Michael and Mary (Wolfe) Yarab.
She was a graduate of Wilson High School and was a devoted homemaker to her husband and children.
Rosella was a lifelong member of the Holy Family Church, a member of the Poland KCettes, card club and the alter guild.
She enjoyed polka dancing with her husband, cooking, traveling, and most of all, her grandchildren.
Rosella is survived by her husband, Samuel J. whom she married June 7, 1952; a daughter, Sandy (Rich) Jones of Poland; four sons, Tom (Rita) of New Middletown, John (Sandy) of New Middletown, Joe (Ann) of New Middletown, and Bob (Jackie) of Denver; three sisters, Delores Schrieber, Marylou Caro, and Cookie Roberts; two brothers, Ron and Michael Yarab; eight grandchildren, Jeannie Fiumara (Dave Breitfelder), Joanne, Dom (Amy), Angelina, Sam, Tucker, Ella Fiumara, and Ryan Jones; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 Wet Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607.
