Rosemary Perry

YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers for Rosemary Ann Perry who died Sunday afternoon, at St. Elizabeth Mercy Hospital will be held Friday, May 3, 2019, at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Christine Church.

Rosemary was born June 2, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Thomas and Lenora (Russell) Kane.

She was a 1949 graduate of South High School.

Rosemary was a very active member of St. Christine's Church. She was involved with the Infant Jesus of Prague, a volunteer for many festivals activities and worked as an office assistant. She was a past member of St. Joseph's Church, where she worked as the secretary for 25 years and participated in the Ladies Guild and Garden Club. Rosemary served as a past member and president of the American Business Women's Association Mill Creek Chapter and was awarded Women of the Year in 1990. Her involvement also included working with the Mahoning County Chapter of Birthright.

Her passion in life included the love of her family and friends, playing cards and reading. She enjoyed spending the last 24 winters in Largo, Florida.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, Godfrey James Perry, whom she married May 25 1950. She has three daughters, Joyce (William) Mistovich of Largo, Fla., Cynthia Packo of Austintown, Ohio and Rosemary (Charles) Bowmaster of Columbus, Ohio; her sister Patricia (Lawrence) Pawlick of Austintown. She was also blessed with 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ann (David) Allen and Agnes (Earl) Farragher of Austintown, Katherine Gregory of Youngstown; three brothers, Thomas Kane of Austintown, James (Marilyn) Kane and Lawrence (Alice) Kane of Youngstown.

Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor her requests that contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley Mahoning County, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
