CANFIELD - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 300 N. Broad St in Canfield, for Roxanna J. (Lance) Hildebrand , who passed away on Jan. 11, 2017, at Windsor House of St Mary's in Columbiana.
Roxanna was born Feb. 26, 1928, in Salineville, a daughter of Kenneth and Jane Lance, and was a 1946 graduate of Ursline High School.
She lived in Canfield since 1961, where she and her husband, James, raised their five children.
She had worked at Pepsi Cola and Golden Age Beverage Company in Youngstown and later the South Side Merchants License Bureau in Youngstown.
She was a member of St Michael Parish in Canfield, where she was a longtime member of the Women's Altar Guild. She enjoyed sewing and was well known for the Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls that she made for many family members and friends, as well as, countless other projects and gifts for family, friends, and St Michael's Church.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Jean (Jack) Moran, Kenneth (Laurel) Hildebrand, David (Janet) Hildebrand, Keith (Jacklyn) Hildebrand, and Mark Hildebrand; her six grandchildren, Jamie, Katie, Daniel, Nathaniel, Lance, and Ashley; great-grandchildren London, Audrey, and Victor; and many nephews and nieces.
She also leaves her sister, Jean Patterson of Austintown.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James, whom she married in 1951.
Friends and family will be received at St. Michael Church on Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
