CANFIELD - Services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Russell Hodge age 71 of Canfield who passed away Monday evening at the Mahoning Valley Acute Care Center from complication from a stroke he suffered two months ago.
Russell was born November 24, 1934, in Greenville, PA, the son of Clyde and Ethel Peach Hodge. Mr. Hodge began his career at Truscon Steel as an electrician apprentice, and later worked as an electrical supervisor at the former LTV / Republic Steel Corp. retiring after 43 years in 1998. Russell will be remembered as a kind and loving man who loved his family and enjoyed life. He was an avid golfer and loved playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife the former Shirley Reno whom he married May 20, 1955 in New Castle, PA, two daughters, Cathy Scott Pearce of Greenville, NC, and Terri Todd Baer of Austintown, OH, and three sons, Russell Cherlyn Hodge of Greensboro, NC, Rick Kathi Hodge, and David Cathy Hodge of Masury, OH, six grandchildren, Justin, Patrick, Taylor, Abby, Dylan, and Chastidy, one great-grandchild, Janie, three sisters, Marybelle, Dorothy, and Edith, three brothers, Chuck, Al, and Bob.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jessica Nicole Ferenczy, a sister Anna Mae Artman and two brothers, Ralph and Francis Hodge.
