AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Boardman for Mrs. Ruth M. Abrams, 87, who died Monday evening at Woodlands of Austinwoods.
Ruth was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Youngstown, a daughter of Patrick and Rose Driscoll Deskin.
She was a graduate of The Rayen School, a member of the church and was the manager of Livingston's until they closed.
Ruth was married to Norman Abrams, whom she married Oct. 28, 1960, and he died April 2002,
She leaves many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Madeline Bannon, Rose Deskin Perl and Patricia O'Toole and three brothers, Lawrence, William and John Deskin.
Friends may call Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
The family would like to thank Carlon and all the staff for all their love and care of Ruth.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's or Hospice House in Ruth's memory.
Arrangements are by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
