POLAND - Prayers will begin Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Celebration of Life, Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Ruth Charlotte Albaugh, 97, who died Wednesday evening at Sunrise Nursing Home in Poland.
Ruth was born June 21, 1920, in Youngstown, the daughter of Lawrence and Charlotte (Rhinehardt) Reagan.
She was a graduate of South High School. Ruth worked as a secretary in the Auditing Department at Truscan Steel, then as an Accounts Clerk at Standard Steel Products, Great Western Steel and Dempsey Steel.
Ruth was always extremely grateful for everyone in her life. Her greatest joy was for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, John "Jack" W. Albaugh, whom she married in 1947, died Feb. 21, 2001.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (Jim) Tovtin of Poland and Diane (Buzz) Wylie of Poland; three sons, Thomas (Marianne) Albaugh of Toledo, Dennis (Cathy) Albaugh of Poland and Philip (Mary Ann) Albaugh of Parma; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, John Lawrence Albaugh and sister Naomi Lehner.
Family and friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Sunrise Senior Living and Crossroads Hospice for the care and compassion given to Ruth.
