CANFIELD - A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church for Sandra Kay Coman, who died Wednesday morning at the Cleveland Clinic, surrounded by her family.
Sandra was born Aug. 10, 1952, in Youngstown, to Charles and Joanne (Murphy) Kay.
She was a 1970 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and worked as a unit secretary at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center for over 40 years. Sandra was a huge Cardinal Mooney fan and loved attending football games, boating on Berlin Lake, watching game shows, making candy, baking, cooking and going out to eat. Most of all, Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Ron Coman, whom she was married to for 33 years; a son, Matthew Coman of Canfield; a daughter, Katie Coman of Boardman; two stepsons, Eldon Ronald Coman Jr. of Liberty and Michael (Joy) Coman of Liberty; a brother, Chuck (Mollie) Kay of Boardman; two nephews, Patrick and Matthew Kay; niece Carolyn Kay; and seven stepgrandchildren, Aryn, Alec, Zachary, Carter, Jacob, Ryan, and Olivia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Daniel Charles Coman.
Family and friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
