Sarajane Hunt

POLAND - Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at Bethel Friends Church for Sarajane A. Hunt, 84, who passed away Friday evening at Hospice House.

Sarajane was born Dec. 9, 1931 in Mecca, OH, a daughter of the late Norman L. and Sarah A. (Tanner) MacLochlan.

Sarajane was the head cook for Poland Schools and retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital as a seamstress. She was also a member of the Birthday Club at the hospital. She was a former member of Gibson Heights United Presbyterian Church in Youngstown, where she taught Sunday School, was a deacon, was a member of the Jolly Rovers and the Ladies Guild. Sarajane was a current member of Bethel Friends Church and the Secret Sisters at the church. She enjoyed sewing and looked forward to going out for lunch everyday. Her greatest love was for her family and spending time with them.

Her husband William Hunt, whom she married June 5, 1948 passed away May 24, 2004.

Sarajane leaves two daughters, Linda (Gary) Burns of Hubbard and Jodi (Brian) Hunt Schmidt of Poland; two sons, Willianm D. Hunt of Largo, FL and Bradley (Cecelia) Hunt of Fair Haven, VT; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and one on the way; two brothers, Wayne (Jean) MacLochlan and Jack (Cindy) MacLochlan both of Canfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sarajane was also preceded in death by a sister, Josephine and a brother, Robert.

Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 AM at Bethel Friends Church.
