AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Saundra J. (Croyle) Mann, 64, who passed away Saturday at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
"Sandi" was born Oct. 23, 1950, in Torrance, Calif., a daughter of the late Francis H. and Mable L. (Swegan) Croyle.
Sandi was a 1968 graduate of Howland High School. She was a proud business owner of Sandi's Family Hair Care, which opened in 1984, and operated successfully for 25 years. Sandi supported her community by staging a "Give Up The Green" campaign for Easter Seals every year, donating food baskets to Mahoning County Children Services at the holidays and participating in the Locks of Love campaign.
Sandi was known as a fighter, hero, warrior, friend and an inspiration. She was everything to everybody, the consummate giver. "We love you more!"
Her husband, John T. Mann Jr. whom she married Nov. 3, 1978, passed away Jan. 26, 2012.
Sandi leaves her son, Bill (Paige) Davis of Raleigh, N.C.; daughter Fawn (Chris) Buck of Holt, Mich.; four grandchildren, Natalie Mann of Akron, Gabi Mann of Fort Myers, Fla., Sydney Buck and Dillon Buck of Holt; two great-grandchildren, Clayton Kendall and Jackson Kendall of Columbus; two sisters, Barbara (Jim) Godney of Warren and Deborah L. (Ed) Viets of Johnston; a brother, Richard A. (Tina) Croyle of Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandi was also preceded in death by a stepson, Ted L. Mann; and two brothers, Francis H. Croyle and Charles H. Croyle.
Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Material tributes may take the form of donations to the family to help with medical costs.
