AUSTINTOWN - Shirley V. Cronk passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Hospice House.
At her request, there will be no calling hours or service. She wanted people to remember her as the healthy, outgoing, fun-loving person that was a friend to everyone she touched.
Shirley was born to Robert and Ethel Stivers Cronk on March 19, 1932, and was one of 10 children.
She was raised to be independent and work hard for what she wanted. Her last job was working in the kitchen at Cafaro Hospital until her retirement.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Mrs. Peg Patrone; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Gertrude Cronk and Mrs. Carol Cronk; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, and best friend, Susan; as well as four brothers, Robert, Jack, Ed and William; and four sisters, Katie, Mary, Jean and Betty.
Shirley touched the hearts of so many and will lovingly be remembered always. The family would like to thank Hospice House for the care and understanding they gave her in her final days.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
