AUSTINTOWN ? Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, in the Chapel at Belmont Park Cemetery for Sophie M. Fleaka, 78, who died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at Austinwoods Nursing Center after a brief illness.
Sophie was born Nov. 22, 1930 in Struthers to the late Nick and Mary Glegor Oprish.
She was an Independent Realtor in the Mahoning Valley for over 25 years, retiring in 1994.
Besides her parents, Sophie was preceded in death by her son, Thomas ?Tommy? Fleaka; former husband, John P. Fleaka; great-grandson, Jordan DeBacco; and five siblings.
She is survived by her two daughters, Terry Richard DeBacco of Cleveland and Lisa Ann Evan Shikora of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Maureen Randall Kirksey DeBacco of California, Mark Donna DeBacco of California, Michelle Mark Chiacchiari of Cleveland, Richard DeBacco Jr. and Daniel DeBacco, both of Cleveland, and Mia Shikora of Pittsburgh; and two brothers, Gene and John Barb. She also leaves her beloved dog, Ellie.
