YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, for Stanley F. Rudnicki, 84, who passed away Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Stanley was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Youngstown, a son of the late John and Carolina (Sobarnia) Rudnicki.
Stanley served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked in sales for Storm Electric for 41 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, past president of their St. Vincent DePaul Society and their Men's Club, and was a former council person.
Stanley is survived by his wife, the former Caroline Herzick, whom he married March 25, 1952; two sons, Robert S. (Stacy) Rudnicki of Greenville, S.C., and Ronald J. (Michelle) Rudnicki of Buffalo, N.Y.; two grandsons, Jonathan and Joshua Rudnicki; and two brothers, Edmund Rudnicki of Youngstown and Henry (Corrine) Rudnicki of Vacaville, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Bair; and two brothers, John and Thomas Rudnicki.
Family and friends may pay their respects Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and St. Vincent DePaul Society.
