Stephanie Gonda

YOUNGSTOWN - Private family services were held Monday morning at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Stephanie Louise Gonda, 26, who passed away Tuesday, June 26.

Stephanie was born March 7, 1992, in Youngstown, the daughter of Steve J. and Diane (Vukovich) Gonda.

She was a 2010 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, attended Youngstown State University, and had been a member of the Concordia and Zion Lutheran Churches.

Stephanie loved playing sports, especially soccer, and being outside, spending time in Mill Creek Park on the trails and kayaking. In addition, she enjoyed dance and always had music playing. She found joy in the smallest details, and her resulting smiles would light up a room. With her spirited personality and loving heart, Stephanie left a mark on those she encountered, there wasn’t anyone she would not stop to help. She continues to give to others through organ donation.

She is survived by her parents of Youngstown; a sister, Jennifer Gonda and her husband, Morgan Lloyd, of Youngstown; her niece, Anna Louise Lloyd; and a great-aunt, Anna Gonda, for whom she helped care.

She was laid to rest with family members at Tod Homestead Cemetery.

The family wishes that those who cared for her would extend an act of kindness to a stranger, especially one less fortunate, in her memory.
