YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at St. Christine Church for Stephen Patrick age 81 of Sunrise Assisted Living, formerly of Noel Dr. in Youngstown who passed away early Sunday morning.
Stephen was born October 6, 1923, in Youngstown, the son of Daniel and Julia Matko Patrick.
He had founded the Suburban Insurance Agency in 1950 where had been the owner and agent for over 40 years before retiring in 1990. He was a graduate of Chaney High School, and later graduated from the Ohio State University with a bachelors degree in business. He was a member of St. Christine Church, an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending time at his cottage at Geneva on the Lake.
His wife the former Sophie Skrzynski whom he married November 18, 1950, died October 7, 1991.
He is survived by his son Stephen Patrick, Jr. and his wife Beth of Canfield, a sister Helen Venglarik of Austintown, and two grandsons, Bob and Sean Patrick.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel, and William Patrick.
Friends may call from 5 PM to 8 PM Tuesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
