Stephen "Steve" Lisko

STRUTHERS – Stephen “Steve” J. Lisko, 96, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at Crossroads of Beaver Creek Assisted Living.

Steve was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Campbell, a son of the late John and Anna (Slimak) Lisko.

He attended Campbell Memorial High School and Youngstown State University. Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired as an electrician from Youngstown Sheet and Tube/Jones and Laughlin Steel. After retirement Steve enjoyed spending many hours each day in his backyard garden, working at his tool bench and visiting with family and friends on his patio.

Steve is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mildred Ann (Shepas) Lisko; four children, Allen (Peg) Lisko of Leawood, Kan., Gary (Celeste) Lisko of Columbiana, Patti (Brian) Cicuto of Pittsburgh, and Ken (Sonia) Lisko of Columbus; eight grandchildren, Joseph (Anne Marie) Lisko, Bradley (Roseanne) Lisko, Amanda (Dan) Ferguson, Melissa (Jeff) Tomer, Danielle (Chad) Kulp, Patrick Cicuto, Katie Lisko and Carly Lisko; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Seman of New Middletown, and Helen Bodnar of Struthers.

Other than his parents, Steve was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joseph Lisko; a sister, Mildred Tarajack; and grandsons Christopher and Brian Lisko.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019, at Christ Our Savior, St. Nicholas Church, 764 5th St. in Struthers, with Father Martin Celuch officiating.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the church prior to the Mass.
