AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Cornersburg for Susan Antal, 84, who died early Wednesday morning at the Hospice House.
Susan was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Youngstown, the daughter of Paul and Johanna Kolesar Antal.
She was a 1944 graduate of Chaney High School and later worked as an accountant for the Philip Levy Accountant Company. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where she also served on the counting committee for many years, and she belonged to the American Slovak Cultural Association of Mahoning County. Susan was an avid sports fan and was a member of the Friday night ladies trio with her "Change about" team members at Wedgewood Lanes. She loved reading and gardening and enjoyed watching golf.
She is survived by her sister, Mildred Kovach; brother, Andrew Antal Sr.; a sister-in-law, Ann Antal; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, John and Daniel and a sister, Julia Vagasky.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Youngstown Easter Seals or the Zion Lutheran Church memorial fund in Susan's memory.
Susan's family would like to thank the staff at Hospice House for their compassionate care during her stay.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church.
