YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will be Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Christine Church, for Susan J. Jackett, 55, who passed away Wednesday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Susan was born Aug. 6, 1960, in Youngstown, a daughter of David and Carole (Bennington) Yargo Sr.
She graduated from Austintown Fitch High School and attended Paralegal School at Walsh College. She was a legal secretary for Millstone & Kannensohn in Youngstown and was also part-owner of Jackett's Lounge.
Susan was there for anyone who needed her, and she would put everyone before herself. She loved life, whether it was cooking, socializing, going to the beach or trips to the Bahamas. Her greatest love was for her family and spending time with them.
Susan leaves her husband, Carl A. Jackett Sr., whom she married Sept. 15, 1987; her sons, Carl Anthony Jackett II of Phoenix, and Dominic Lee Jackett of Youngstown; Carl's daughter, Candace Jackett Panella of New Castle, Pa.; her parents, Carole and David Yargo Sr. of Youngstown; two sisters, Diane Marshalls and Deborah Rupp, both of Youngstown; a brother, David L. Yargo Jr. of Youngstown; her biological father, Pete Widera; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Susan was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Yargo, Clark Bennington, Betty Parks, and Peter and Freida Widera.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
