LAKE MILTON – A memorial service is being held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Road, with Pastor Donna McCollum, for Terry Lee Whitehair, 60, who went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Terry was born in Cambridge, in 1957.

He went to Meadowbrook High School in 1976, where he excelled in basketball. He attended Muskingum University 1980, earning a bachelor’s degree in Geology. After graduation, he continued his love of science by working in the oil and gas industry for the next 40 years.

Apart from working, Terry loved spending time with his family and friends. He always put others before himself and never hesitated to help someone in need. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, kite-flying, and grilling out at home. Terry and his late wife, Sharon, also never missed a year vacationing to the Outer Banks. In addition, he spent much of his free time volunteering at his church and sportsman’s club.

He is survived by his father, Jack Whitehair; son Drew Whitehair (Melissa); daughter Christa Ebner (Drew); stepchildren Brandon Vayner, Justin Vayner, and Brianna McGee (Bart); grandchildren Adelyn Ebner, Harper Whitehair, and one expected in October; sisters Melanie Moore (Randy), Joyce Secrest (Mark) and Ellen Wilson (Robert); brother James Whitehair; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Johnson) Whitehair and his mother, Joan (Shampel) Whitehair
