Theodore Edwards

Salem . . . Memorial Services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Mr. Theodore "Ted" Edwards age 53, who died Monday evening in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born December 2, 1951, in Youngstown a son of John W. and Margaret E. Hoover Edwards. Ted is a 1969 graduate of Canfield High School, a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a BS and a MA from Youngstown State University. He was employed by Lisbon High School as a History teacher retiring in 2000 and also was a football coach at Lisbon and helped with the Canfield football and wrestling teams, a member of the First Christian Church in Salem. Ted was an exceptional speaker, teacher and Lecturer especially on the Kennedy and Lincoln Assassination's, the Ohio Presidents and President's Wives, the Kent State May 4, 1970, Lincoln Conspiracy, Pearl Harbor, Presidential Humor and the Native Americans in American Revolution. He loved the Canfield Fair and had worked there for over 25 years at a game. He was an avid collector of political buttons and baseball cards and loved to fish especially in Alaska.
Ted will be greatly missed by his sister Diane George Playforth of Canfield and his two brothers John J. of Salem and Harry H. of Port Clinton and 12 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 1:00 - till the time of service at the funeral home.
