YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will begin Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Theresa Ann Darland, 84, who died Saturday morning at Meridian Arms Nursing Home.

Ann was born Feb. 7, 1930, in Youngstown, to Joseph Salvester and Mary (Burns) Kunzer.

She was a 1948 graduate of Ursuline High School and worked as a secretary at Connell Steel for 17 years until retiring to raise her family.

Ann was a member of St. Christine Church, the Bears Club Ladies Auxiliary, from 1984 until the early 2000s, and the Saxon Club.

Her husband, Thomas H. Darland, whom she married Sept. 11, 1965, died April 4, 2014.

Ann is survived by her son, Thomas R. Darland of Youngstown.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Catherine Wolf; a twin brother, Richard; and brothers Jack, Tom and Joseph Kunzer.

Family and friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
