AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., at St. Angela Merici Church for Theresa Halczak, 89, who died Friday morning at home, surrounded by her family.
Theresa was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Hillsville, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Macri) Gennaro.
She was a graduate of Bessemer High School and was a homemaker, who dedicated her life to her family.
Theresa's husband, Paul Halczak, whom she married in 1957, died in 1975.
She is survived by her son, Paul Halczak of Austintown; and two sisters, Rita Fulena of New Castle and Margie (Mike) Tsangaris of Bessemer, Pa.
Theresa was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Rocco, Dominic, James and Joseph Gennaro; and three sisters, Clara Malva, Helen DeMatteo and Virginia Copploe.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 9 to 9:50 a.m. at the church.
