AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Theresa Kistler age 71 of Austintown who passed away early Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Theresa was born May 8, 1934, in Youngstown the daughter of John R. and Theresa Gartland Conroy.
She was a 1952 graduate of South High School, and had worked for Austintown Township, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed working on her computer, crossword puzzles, and knitting and crocheting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband Ralph R. Kistler Jr. whom she married March 6, 1953, died March 1, 2000.
She is survived by a daughter Heidi J. David Semivan of Monroe Falls, Ohio, three sons, Ralph R. Karen Kistler III of Austintown, Jeffrey Coan Kistler of Columbiana, and Christopher Kistler of Austintown, six grandchildren, Joe, Josh, and Jeff Kistler Jr., Jessica and Randy Kistler, and Jena Semivan, and two great grandchildren, Ethan and Parker.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a sister Virginia Passarelli, and three brothers, Stephen, Donald, and John Robert Conroy.
Friends may call from 4 PM to 8 PM Tuesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Ireland Cancer Center at University Hospital in Cleveland.
