STRUTHERS Prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church for Thomas J. Daley Sr., 86, who passed away peacefully Saturday at Hospice House with his family by his side.
Tom was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Youngstown, the son of the late James M. and Agnes McCabe Daley.
Tom was a 1941 graduate of East High School. He was a clerk for the railroad at Republic Steel, retiring in 1984. Tom was a member of the Jolly Bowling
League for 30 years and the Struthers Gridiron Club. He was an avid golfer and a lifetime Notre Dame fan. His greatest love was being with his family.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Tom leaves his wife of 58 years, Patricia A. Campbell, whom he married June 30, 1951; two daughters, Beth Mark Carden of Struthers and Sue Tom Babinec of New Middletown; three sons, William Karen Daley Austintown, Thomas Debbie Daley Jr. of Struthers and Jack Carol Daley of Struthers; a daughter-in-law, Jane Bohrer of Poland; 14 grandchildren, Lee Jeff
Noone, Stacy Frank DeMain, Kimberly John Yurko, Tricia Phil Missos, Michael Megan Daley, TJ Kristina Daley III, Kelly Daley, Melissa JimBennett, Jessica Daley, Ryan Daley, Jake Courtney, Patrick Carden, and Natalie and Rachel Babinec; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard Daley; a sister, Elaine Davis; three brothers, John, James, and William Daley; and an infant
brother, Joseph Daley.
The family will be receiving friends Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley.
