YOUNGSTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Thomas H. Darland, 84, who passed away Friday morning at Meridian Arms.
Thomas was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Poland, a son of the late Francis and Ann (Klem) Darland.
Thomas graduated from Poland High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a clerk for Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 30 years and was also a clerk for the Health and Human Services. Thomas enjoyed coaching the pony and little league baseball teams. He was a member of St. Christine Church where he also served as an usher. He was also a member of the Bears Club and the Saxon Club.
Thomas leaves his wife, the former Theresa Kunzer, whom he married Sept. 11, 1965; his son, Thomas R. Darland of Youngstown; and a brother, Richard (Jean) Darland of Tucson, Ariz.
Family and friends may pay their respects Wed. from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
Professional arrangements are being handled by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
