POLAND - Services will be Saturday morning at 9:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church for Thomas J. Donnelly age 74 of Poland who passed away at his home Monday evening after a lengthy illness.
Tom was born July 5, 1932, in Youngstown, the son of Thomas J. and Florence Smith Donnelly.
After graduating from Ursuline High School in 1951 he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Following the war he continued his education at Youngstown University, graduating with a Bachelors degree in 1965. He began his career as a journeyman electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electricians Local # 64, and had worked as a process engineer for the Ford Motor Company. He later worked as an Industrial Sales Representative at Chicago Pneumatic, and R.C. Williams of Canton before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Holy Family Church, the Saxon Club, and the American Legion Post # 15.
Tom is survived by his wife the former Margaret M. Berry whom he married July 6, 1963, his daughter and son in law, Christine L. and John F. Fleming stationed in Tel Aviv, three grandchildren, Gabrielle, Katherine, and Jack Thomas Fleming, a sister Gloria and her husband Patrick E. Raliegh of Evergreen Park, ILL, and many nieces and nephews.
