Thomas Dripps

CANFIELD - Thomas George Dripps passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015.

He was born May 29, 1959, and was the youngest son of the late Theresa (Kral) and Lawson E. Dripps.

Thomas is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife, Mary (Barone) Dripps, whom he married on June 14, 1980; his three sons, Joshua Kane of Philadelphia, Matthew Payne of New York City, and Nathan Thomas of Canfield.

He also leaves behind his brother and best friend, Lawson E. Dripps II (Lori) of Canfield; and sisters Carol (David) Novotny and Nancy (George) Peplow of Dublin, Ohio. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will also miss him deeply.

Thomas was the co-owner of Related Metals Inc., a local commercial sheet metal and roofing company which he and his brother, Lawson, established 30 years ago. He was a member of both St. Michael Parish and Sheet Metal Local Union No. 33. A former recreational pilot, he also enjoyed spending his free time golfing and riding his Harley.

Thomas will be remembered for his abundant love for his family, generosity and unwavering loyalty to his friends. He will be missed dearly, but lives are brighter for having shared time with this compassionate spirit.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, from 3 to 5 p.m. at St. Michael Parish in Canfield, followed by a memorial Mass at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the St. Michael Church Building Fund, 350 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
