Thomas Evans

CANFIELD - Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Mr. Thomas "Tom" R. Evans, 59, who died Friday morning at his home.

Mr. Evans, affectionately known as Tom, was born on July 12, 1956, in Youngstown, son of Roy and Katherine (Norberg) Evans.

Tom attended Struthers High School, before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was involved in Veterans Outreach Program, outdoor barbecues, golfing, and being the life of the party. He also liked to play cards, horseshoes, and most importantly, spend time with his family.

Tom's wife of 35 years, Jimene Wilson, died on Dec. 31, 2014.

Tom will be greatly missed by his children, Jennifer Evans of Poland, Amy (Frank Wells) Evans of Dover, Del., Kimmi (George) Adams of Austintown, and Timothy (Kim Kelly) Wilson of Austintown; seven grandchildren, Dylan, Katherine, Jessica, Sara, George, Autumn, and Kimberly; two great-grandsons, James, and Derrick; and a great friend, Matt Stiner.

Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Jimene Wilson.

Family and friends may call on Monday from 5 until 7 p.m., and again, Tuesday morning from 10 until 10:50 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at Brunstetter Cemetery, Austintown.
