BOARDMAN - Memorial services will be Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Thomas J. "Gibby" Giblin, 66, who died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Gibby was born Oct. 31, 1948, in Youngstown. He had been the owner of Gibby and Friends Tavern on Market Street on Youngstown's South side and later, worked as a commercial and industrial union painter as a member of Local No. 476 before retiring. He was a member of St. Dominic Church was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed cooking and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Tom Giblin of Canfield; a sister, Judy D'Onofrio of Boardman; two cousins, Karen (Larry) Shaffer of Poland and Steven Willis of Liberty; and his favorite aunt, Adeline (Steve) Willis of Liberty.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgette Marian, and his grandma, Rose Caporossi.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 4:15 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
