CLEVELAND- Thomas Edward Hamrick II, 64, of Cleveland, formerly of Warren, died Saturday, Dec 5, 2015 at his residence in Cleveland.
Mr. Hamrick was born on September 8, 1951 in Richwood, W.V., son of Leslie and Elva May Riley .
Thomas graduated from Maplewood High School in 1969, before enlisting in the United States Army. He earned the rank of Sargent. After being honorably discharged in July of 1975, Thomas began his career as a Master Electrician at Republic Steel, where he worked for 28 years before retiring in 1997.
He was a member of the Eagles Club, Loyal Order of Moose, and the Army/Navy Club.
Some of his hobbies include camping, cookouts, electric work, and model building. Thomas will always be remembered for his ability to fix things. He taught his sons many life lessons that they will never forget.
Most importantly, Thomas loved Celebrations, and because of that, his family wishes to invite family and friends to Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m., where they will celebrate his life. Military honors will be conducted at 7 p.m. by the gentleman of the Ellsworth VFW.
Thomas will be greatly missed by his three sons; Shawn (Katie) Hamrick of Niles, James (Nakia) Hamrick of Warren, and Jarrod (Jennifer) Hamrick of Howland, two sisters; Marilyn "Moe" Meeker of Bristol, and Cordella "Jean" Schwartz of Fowler, longtime companion, Pat Doyle of Cleveland, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his two sons; Richard, and Skylar Hamrick, and two brothers; Jerry, and Michael.
The family wishes that material tributes be made to the funeral home to assist in funeral expenses.
