Austintown - A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 7 PM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Thomas "Tom" J. Horvath, age 67, who passed away Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Tom was born February 28, 1940, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Anna Mikita Horvath.

Tom was a 1957 graduate of Chaney High School and then attended Trade School. He was an Army Veteran. He worked for Youngstown Steel Door in the Engineering Department for 25 years, retiring in 1985. He was a lifetime member of AmVets Post #290 in Vienna. He was also a member of Catholic War Veterans John J Buckley Post #1292; American Legion Post #0235 and the VFW in Vienna Post 3521. He attended Holy Name of Jesus Church.

His wife the former Luella R. Wells whom he married May 8, 1970 passed away February 17, 1998.

Tom leaves three stepdaughters Christine Barko of Youngstown, Margaret "Peggy" Bob Enyeart of Youngstown, and Shari CarlTalarico of Austintown; seven grandchildren; his fiance Norma Burns of PA; and his father-in-law Edgar E. Davis of Youngstown.

Besides his parents and wife, Tom is preceded in death by a stepdaughter Laurel Morgan.

Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home
