YOUNGSTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Youngstown for Thomasine Marsco, 85, who passed away Saturday at Beeghly Oaks.
Thomasine was born April 23, 1923, in Youngstown, the daughter of George and Celeste Leone Vecchione.
Thomasine was a 1940 graduate of South High School. She was a secretary/administrative assistant for Pitney Bowes for 32 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
Her husband, Frank Marsco, whom she married June 28, 1947, passed away Nov. 25, 1999.
Thomasine leaves two sons, Frank Marsco of Youngstown and John Kate Marsco of Poland; four sisters, Ann Monroe of Boardman, Angie Guy Palombaro of Boardman, Jean Jerry Cohen of Boardman and Mary Rondinelli of Boardman; two brothers, Carmen Donna Vecchione of Boardman and Henry Frances Vecchione of Struthers; three grandchildren, Tom Marsco, Kelly Marsco and John Marsco; and several nieces and nephews.
Thomasine was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends may call Thursday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests material tributes take the form of donations to the Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512 or to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 343 Via Mount Carmel Ave., Youngstown, OH 44505, in her memory.
Arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
