POLAND - Prayers will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, for Tina Rubino, 74, who died Thursday evening, at home, surrounded by her family.
Tina was born July 23, 1940, in Sulmona, Italy, to Armando and Fiorina Centofanti, and came to this area in 1957.
She spent many years working as a seamstress, beautician, and also a cook at various area restaurants until her retirement in 2002. Foremost, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Tina was a member of the Holy Family Church, the Pacentrani Club's Ladies Auxiliary, and several Bocce Leagues. She loved to cook and bake for family gatherings.
Tina is survived by her husband, Patsy Rubino, whom she married Oct. 8, 1960; three sons, Anthony (Elizabeth) Rubino of Easton, Pa., Robert Rubino of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Mark Rubino of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Anna (John) Paolilli of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a brother, Tony (Wanda) Centofanti of Struthers; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Rubino; and six grandchildren, John, Marc, Katharine, Alex, Luke and Nico. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dennis Rubino; and two brothers, Frank and Mario Centofanti.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
