Velma Podolsky

YOUNGSTOWN - Private family services were held Tuesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Velma M. Podolsky age 98 of Glenview Manor, formerly of Youngstown who passed away Monday morning at Glenview Manor. Velma was born July 22, 1906, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Barbara Liptak Bodnar. Her husband Anthony J. Podolsky whom she married April of 1923, died in 1962.She is survived by a son Robert Podolsky of Austintown, and seven grandchildren, Lenore Schindler, April Lombardo, Cyndy Glaros, Sally Kenney, and Anthony, Scott, and Robert Podolsky, and several great-grandchildren.Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a son Anthony Podolsky, two brothers John and Frank Bodnar, and a sister Barbara DeLong.Arrangements are by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent to www.higgins-reardon.com.
