Vera Andrjwski

AUSTINTOWN ­ Services will be Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and at 11 a.m. at St. Casimir Church for Vera
J. Andrjwski, 91, who died Friday morning at Hospice House.

Vera was born Oct. 16, 1915 in Bessemer, Pa., a daughter of John and Helen Zuk Bega, coming to Youngstown in 1918 and to Austintown in 1955.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Casimir¹s Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She had been seen baking on WFMJ-TV with Marjorie Mariner and Theresa Burlock. She was an avid gardener and was known for her
roses. She was also an avid sewer and crocheter. She was a lifelong
caregiver for sick and infirmed family members, neighbors and friends.

Her husband Joseph P. Andrjwski Sr. whom she married March 13, 1931 died Aug. 26, 1989.

She leaves three daughters, Jean Stephen ³Bud² Symbolik, Helen Donald Fusco and Betty Childers, all of Austintown; two sons, Joseph Bev Andrjwski Jr. of Canfield and Thomas Rosemarie Andrjwski of Beloit; 13 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica Shuler; two sisters, Elizabeth Koler and Olga ³Alice² Labash; and a grandson, Gregory Symbolik.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
