BOARDMAN - Prayers will be held on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church for Vera L. Faustino, 90, who passed away Monday evening at Hospice House after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Vera was born Aug. 15, 1926, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Alfred S. and Theresa (Rozzo) Faustino.
Vera was a 1945 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
She retired in 1986 after 36 years with General Electric in the coiling department.
She was a member of St. Dominic Church and their Altar and Rosary Society.
Vera loved spending time with her family and also cooking Sunday dinner.
Vera leaves three sisters, Mary Ingorvate of Annapolis, Md., Ann Vuletich of Boardman, and Fanny DiDomenico of Canfield; a sister-in-law, Louise Faustino of Boardman; many nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Vera was also preceded in death by three brothers, Carmen, Dominic and Patsy Faustino and four sisters, Antionette Finamore, Annabell Cretella, Rose Centofante, and Philomena Buccieri.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
