POLAND - A memorial service will be held Saturday at 12:15 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel for Victor M. DiVito, 63, who passed away Tuesday at Sharon Regional Hospital.
Victor was born Sept. 10, 1954 in Youngstown, a son of Victor and Michelina (Mignella) DiVito.
Victor graduated in 1972 from Poland Seminary High School, where he excelled in football and baseball. He was a proud member of their first 10-0 football team. He also earned a Business degree from Youngstown State University. Victor worked for LTV Steel until its closing. He then worked for Packard Electric, which later became Delphi, as a production supervisor. He always enjoyed working and became owner of Vic's Tree & Stump Removal with his son. He also enjoyed wine making and his numerous trips to Italy.
Victor loved spending time on the farm with his children and grandchildren.
Victor leaves his mother, Michelina DiVito of Poland; a daughter, Alexandra DiVito of Poland; a son, Victor (Colleen) DiVito of Struthers; two grandchildren, Victor and Jaxson; three sisters, Mary (William) Simmons of Poland, Collie (John) Kuzman of Cincinnati, and Cindy (Ernie) Rodriguez of Cincinnati; a brother, Frank (Annette) DiVito of Poland; and many nieces and nephews.
Victor was preceded in death by his father, Victor DiVito.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
