CANFIELD - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Victor Paul Moss, 80, who passed away Saturday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Victor was born June 13, 1929, in Youngstown, the son of Carl D. and Sonoma M. Frank Moss Sr.
Victor was a 1947 graduate of Ursuline High School.
He was a cleric in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.
Victor was co-founder and CEO of C & V Wholesalers Inc. He was a member of the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association.
He enjoyed bowling and fishing, especially Lake Erie walleye fishing.
Victor leaves his wife, the former Virginia Marie Vallinger, whom he married Aug. 27, 1955; his three children, Victor Peter Debra Moss of North Jackson, Paula Moss Sander of Canfield and Pamela Roger Root of Newton Falls; his sister, Mary Lou John Godleski of Milton, Mass.; his brother, Carl D. Jane Moss Jr. of Austintown; four grandsons, Victor Patrick Moss, Joseph Conrad Sander, Ryan Alexander Moss and Evan Francis Sander; and his former son-in-law, Jeff Sander of Ellsworth.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Frank and Jenny Vallinger.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley.
Arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
