Youngstown. . . . A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Christine Catholic Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave. Youngstown for Mrs. Virginia Collins, age 75, beloved mother of eight, who died early Sunday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Mrs. Collins was born March 5, 1931, in Boardman a daughter of Thomas and Virginia Ferranti Biggins.
A 1949 graduate of Boardman High School, Virginia had spent the past 50 years working for St. Christine Parish and School in a number of capacities and was member of the church.
She took tremendous pride in her own work throughout Youngstown and with the Daughters of Charity and ever more happiness in the accomplishments of her many loved ones. She offered comfort, hope and inspiration to the countless lives-young and old-she touched each day.
Her husband, Raymond Collins, whom she married on February 3, 1951, died Sept. 17, 1984.
Virginia is survived by her three daughters, Colleen Thomas Boyle and Maureen Collins both of Youngstown and Kathleen David O'Neil of Poland; 5 sons Michael Colleen of Austintown, Raymond of Youngstown, Thomas Debbie of Lowellville Gary and Douglas both of Youngstown; a sister Barbara Donald Oliver of north Lima and a brother Jerry Chervany of Boardman; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and 5 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step father Michael Chervany.
Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at St. Christine Church on Wednesday.

at any Farmers National Bank.
