BETHEL - Funeral services will be held Monday, at 10 a.m. at the Bailey Road Baptist Church, for Virginia I. Harkleroad, 83, formerly of Berlin Center, who passed away Wednesday, at her home.
Virginia was born Sept. 13, 1931, in Columbus, a daughter of the late William and Rene (Moler) Baker.
Virginia graduated from North Jackson High School. She was employed by GM Lordstown on their assembly line. Virginia was a member of the Bailey Road Baptist Church, where she was also a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Her husband, Calvis M. Harkleroad, whom she married Oct. 13, 1951, passed away April 22, 1984.
Virginia leaves her daughter, Colleen (Bob) Theisler of Bethel; four sons, David (Carol) Harkleroad of Bucyrus, Dale (Cindi) Harkleroad of Columbus, Gary Harkleroad of Youngstown, and William (Edna) Harkleroad of Greenville, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Virginia was also preceded in death by her son, James Harleroad; and three brothers, John, Terry, and David Baker.
Family and friends may pay their respects Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel, and on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
Graveside committal service will be held at North Jackson Cemetery, following the services at the church.
