Virginia Milo

January 17, 1927 — July 25, 2011

DIAMOND - Prayers will begin Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, North Jackson Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in North Jackson for Virginia M. Milo, 84, who died at her home Monday evening.

She was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Youngstown, to Michael and Mary Korhan Spassil. She was raised in Youngstown before moving to North Jackson.

Virginia was a former member of St. Brendan's Church and presently a member of Our Lady of The Lakes-St. Catherine's in Lake Milton. She was an active member in the Ladies Guild and volunteered at the soup kitchen. Virginia was also a partner with her son, Gerry in S & M Farms.

Her husband, George, whom she married July 31, 1948, died Jan. 25, 1998.

She leaves a daughter, Beverly John Edl of Plain City; two sons, Ronald Debbie Milo of Youngstown and Gerald Stephanie Milo of Diamond; one sister, Ann Dimoff Gagye of Poland; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Julio Ayala, Lisa Nick Prusakiewicz, Ronell Eric Rushwin, Brian fiance Nikki and Allyson Milo, Sean, Amy and Aaron Milo; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob and Emma Ayala, Cara and Gavin Prusakiewicz and Sapphire Rushwin.

Besides her parents and husband, Virginia was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond and Lawrence Spassil.

Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice.
