Canfield - Services will be held at 8:00PM Thursday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Virginia "Ginny" Sweeney of Canfield who passed away Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mrs. Sweeney was born April 14, 1933 in Youngstown the daughter of Carmen and Alma Phalen Lambert. She was a homemaker and was employed as a medical clerk for Dr. Jocelyn Shinek. She attended Chaney High School. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She leaves her husband, Charles A. Sweeney whom she married June 11, 1949, daughters, Linda Art Gierescher of Phoenix, AZ, Karen Paul Kalosky of Canfield, and Diane Teutsch of Austintown, a son, David Maryann Sweeney of Struthers, grandchildren, Jeff Ana Kevin Andrea, Megan, Jenna, Kelly, David, Jillian, and Kaitlin, 2 great-grandchildren, Martin and Ginny, and a sister, Dolores Jerry Antalik of Wilmington, DE.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Michael Sweeney and a brother, Kenneth Lambert.
Friends may call prior to services from 6 - 8PM Thursday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
