BOARDMAN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiated by Deacon Jody Dorsett, for Vivian E. Bierdeman, 93, who died Wednesday morning at Heather Knoll Nursing Home in Tallmadge.
Vivian was born March 1, 1923, in Youngstown, the daughter of Louis and Jennie (Hake) Bergman.
She was a graduate of Boardman High School and a lifelong Boardman resident. Vivian worked as an office manager at Tri-State Plumbing and Heating for 20 years until retiring in 1990.
Vivian was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Church, a member of the Dorcas Society and Lutherans Women's Missionary League.
As an avid bowler, together, Vivian and her husband were involved in several couples bowling leagues. She also enjoyed playing cards in her card club.
Vivian's husband, Arthur Bierdeman, whom she married June 22 1946 died September 8, 2015.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Gary) Armstrong of Hartville and James (Christine) Bierdeman of Canfield; and four grandchildren, Eric and David Antos and Matthew (Angie) and Jennifer Bierdeman; and six great-grandchildren.
Vivian was also preceded in death her parents; two brothers, Ralph and Kenneth Bergman; and three sisters, Betty Nief, Audrey Kissack and Jane Connor.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 11 to 11:45 am at the church.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
