AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Wallace "Moe" J. Sheridan, 78, who passed away Monday at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Moe was born Dec. 6, 1932, in Youngstown, the son of the late Geoffrey J. and Florence Payne Sheridan.
Moe graduated from South High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was an Iron Worker for Local 207 from 1951 to 1985. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, bird watching, the Browns and the Indians. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His wife, the former Violet M. Paolone, whom he married May 15, 1956, passed away March 19, 2002.
Moe leaves his daughter, Jeanette Sheridan of Austintown; two sons, James P. Christine Sheridan of Berlin Center and Jeff W. Sheridan of Austintown; a sister, Alice M. Fair of Youngstown; a brother, William J. Lee Sheridan of Struthers; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Sheridan, Barbara Sheridan and Ruth Elms and a brother, Edward Sheridan.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown.
