YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church for Wanda L. Schlabaugh, 91, who died early Thursday morning at the Beeghley Oaks Care Center.
Wanda was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Youngstown, the daughter of Bert A. and Blanche Davis Boyer.
She had worked at the F.W. Woolworth Company for 28 years before retiring in 1978.
Her first husband, Howard A. Miller, whom she married Oct. 16, 1937, died March 13, 1965.
Her second husband, Lewis E. Schlabaugh, whom she married June 6, 1977, died Aug. 2, 1992.
She is survived by two stepdaughters, Janet E. Close of Sebring and Sandra S. Keney of North Jackson; three sisters, Sarah M. John Leavins of Brookfield, Alberta J. Sheely of Petersburg and Shirley A. Speelman of South Bend, Ind.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several devoted and loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert E. Schlabaugh; a sister, Betty J. Macchio; and a brother, Bert A. Boyer Jr.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Bethel Lutheran Church building fund in Wanda's memory.
Friends may call from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman.
