William Betsa

AUSTINTOWN - A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 4:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for William F. Betsa, 75, who died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.
William was born May 23, 1940, in Youngstown, the son of William and Wanda (Slizeski) Betsa.
He was a 1958 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked as a machinist for 32 years at Wean United. He also worked for the Austintown Board of Education at Frank Ohl Middle School as a custodian for 30 years.
William was a member of Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.
William is survived by his wife, the former Stella M. Vivo, whom he married Sept. 8, 1962; a daughter, Debra A. (Eric) Bowers of Canfield; two sons, Michael Betsa of Huntsville, AL and Frank (Kellie) Betsa of Chandler, AZ; five grandchildren, Kyle, Devin, and JiAnna Betsa and Alec and Alaina Bowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marie Elena Betsa; a son, William Betsa; and sister, Shirley Ann Betsa.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
William's family would like to give a special thanks to Briarfield Manor and the St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman nurses on 7 West for all of their care.
