William Crawford

BOARDMAN - Private family services will be held at a later date for William R. Crawford, 83, who entered into rest Wednesday, July 23, 2014.

William was born July 12, 1931, in Niles, a son of the late William A. and Selena (Wick) Crawford. William was an area resident most of his life.

He retired from GM Lordstown.

William leaves his wife of 54 years, Maureen Crawford; a daughter, Pam Valentino of Warren; five sons, Skip Crawford of Lafayette, Ind., Tom Crawford of New Port Richey, Fla., Gary Kompanik of Houston, Mike Kompanik of San Diego, and Tim Kompanik of McDonald and their families; and a sister, Jean Plant of Uniontown.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles David Crawford.

Family requests that material tributes may take the form of donations to Angels for Animals, 4750 South Range Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
