William F. Emery, 83, passed away on April 7, 2024, at Hospice House in Poland. He was born on August 15, 1940, in Youngstown.

William was a proud graduate of Ursuline High School in 1959. After graduation he served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Ulm, Germany for 2 years. He was known for his sharp shooting skills and expertise in driving tankers. Following his time in the Army, William persuaded a career in firefighting. He was dedicated fireman for the City of Youngstown Fire Department for over 20 years,

Outside of his professional life, William cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a passion for golfing, fishing, boating, watching football games, and visiting Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Florence Kane Emery; as well as by his two sisters, Dorothy Krispinsky and Lois Hall.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 63 years, Charlotte A. Bieltz Emery, whom he married on July 22, 1961. William is also survived by his four children: William J. (Molly) Emery of Stow, Robert W. (Laurie) Emery of Austintown, Jeffrey J. Emery of Youngstown, and Janet M. McKelvey of Canal Fulton; eleven grandchildren: Jeffrey, Marisa, Aaron, Tara, Rory, Gracie, Keegan, Bobby, Brooke, Claire and Leigh; and four great-grandchildren: Cameron, Dakota, Harper and Maggie.

A private family mass was held at St. Christine Church in memory of William. Burial took place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.

Professional arrangements were handled by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
