YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 AM at
Austintown Baptist Church for William R. Herman, 74, who passed away
Monday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
William was born June 18, 1939 in Youngstown, a son of Frank and
Gertrude "Trudy" (Lissimore) Herman.
William was a 1957 graduate of Chaney High School. Following
graduation he served in the United States Navy. He was employed by
the Mahoning County Maintenance Department and was a truck driver for
Keystone. William was a car enthusiast and an avid fan of the
Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavs. He was an animal lover and
enjoyed the company of his cat Tiger and his late dog Bingo. William
gave the gift of life through tissue donation.
William leaves his mother Gertrude "Trudy" Herman of Youngstown; his
three sons Timothy Herman, Gregory Herman and Frank Herman all of
Youngstown; a brother Robert Herman of Youngstown; three nieces; two
great nieces; his former wives Elnora "Cookie" Herman of Austintown
and Jill Herman and special companion Mary Lou Valeriani.
William was preceded in death by his father Frank Herman.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at Higgins-Reardon
Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and Friday from 10 to 11 AM at
Austintown Baptist Church.
Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
